Australia is spending $1.4 million to find out how to protect women's sole right to male supervision.

This is half the allocation for public consultations on how best to protect rights announced by Attorney-General Robert McClelland.

The nation's Constitution makes no provision for women's legislatures or a jurisdiction at law.

In the circumstances the other half is needless expenditure.
